This
is our 1958 D17 that my Mom and Dad bought back
in 1972. At the time my uncle said it was the
biggest tractor my Dad would ever need. |
We
were having oil leakage from the hydraulics into
the Power Director so we split the tractor to
fix the issue. |
The
main clutch pilot bearing had spun on the
transmission input shaft so we had to replace
it. But on these tractors that shaft that runs
between the Power Director and the main clutch
and the piston hydraulic pump runs off cams on
the shaft so it wasn't a cheap nor simple fix. |
