Entertainment Center

 I
have started construction of a new entertainment center for myself.
The top and the raised panels for the sides have been glued up, and now I
have to route the cope and stile cuts and raise the panel to complete the
sides.

carcass is starting to take shape.

| Jan 4, 2003  I
have the cabinet complete except to cut out the shelves and cover the raw
plywood edge on them. I am going to put glass doors on it once it is
stained and polyed. I am waiting for the tool cabinet to be finished
and then I will poly them both at the same time.

 The
entertainment center is stained and polyed and all I have left to do is
install the casters and install the glass doors.

| Feb 2. 2003
 It
is finished. All my components are on their shelves. I need to
come up with a better way to keep the cables organized.

Tool Chest

 This
is going to be a tool chest for my Dad's birthday. There are 2
sheets of 3/4 and 2 sheets 1/2 birch ply there along with 3 sheets 1/4
pine ply.

 The
main carcass is together, it is laying on its side on the bench. I
have to attach the back, and make and attach the face frame then the
carcass will be complete. Then there are 16 drawers of varying sizes
to make.

  All
the parts for the drawers are milled and are sitting on the tablesaw
waiting to be put together. I glued the face frame to the carcase
today as well.

  I
installed the casters and the reinforced the bottom to take the weight of
a load of tools. All the drawers are assembled and need some touchup
sanding before finishing.

 The
cabinet has been varnished and I am in the process of installing the
drawers.

I have the cabinet finished. I lined every drawer with non-slip
matting. |
Rug Frame
 This
is to be a circular frame to display a Cornhusk Rug in. It has to be
about 2" thick, so I needed three boards to make that thickness. |
 I
have glued the octagons together. |
 Using
the router and a circle jig I made the octagons into a circle. |
 Finished
piece. |
