Rolling Workbench
Parent's Entertainment center
Dec 13, 2001 Here
are the pieces to a entertainment center I am building for my parents.
They are going to sit a 36" TV on it and some components in the cabinet.
The lumber came from the ranch back at home. We cut down the trees
in the south pasture and cut them into lumber with the sawmill. |

This
is the progress I have made in the last two days. All that I have
left is to sand it and attach the bottom trim and the top. After
that build one shelf and install the glass doors. |
Dec 17, 2001
Here
is where I am now. I have the glass doors to install and the stain
and poly to apply. I am going to be taking it to my parent's house
at Christmas time and finishing it there. |

This
is the final product. I wish it had been 2 inches taller, but this
works very well in the room.

Cedar Chest
Feb 6, 2002
I
am in the process of building a cedar chest for myself. The lumber
sitting on the bench is the start. It is also made out of lumber
that came off the ranch.
|
Aug 3, 2002
Progress was painfully slow for this project. I am done to the
point of staining and varnishing the chest, but am going to wait for to do
two projects at once. The cabinet carcass is made out of oak, with a
cedar lining inside. |
Dec 8, 2002 The
cabinet is stained and one coat of poly on. |
Dec 13, 2002
It
is DONE! I have it lined with 1/4" cedar. |
VHS/DVD
Storage Cabinet
Aug 10, 2002
The
plywood on the bench is the start to a cabinet to store DVDs and VHS tapes
in. This cabinet will be 6 1/2 feet tall and 3 feet wide and 1 foot
deep and hold 464 VHS tapes, or up to 544 DVDs and 252 VHS
tapes. |
Aug 12, 2002 I
have all the shelves glued together and am starting to edge the raw
plywood edges. |
Dec 5, 2002
Here
is the cabinet all complete except to stain it and then the final
assembly. |
Dec 8, 2002
The
cabinet is stained and one coat of poly on. |
Dec 13, 2002
It
is done. |
