Here
is the forms for the pad for our 20,000 bushel grain bin. |
We
have a 2 foot thick concrete footing with a 5

We
installed 6 vents on the roof. |
The
top ring has been assembled. |
The
roof is going on. |
Wall
sheets are going on. There are 12 sheets per
ring and 6 rings on this bin. |
Completed.
It took 2 days to construct the bin, not
including installing the floor and fan.
36' diameter, 22' to the eave. 20,000 Bushel.
You can see our 21' diameter, 5000 Bushel bins
in the background. |
In 2011 we built our first 5000 bushel, 21'
diameter grain bin.
Here
is the pad for our first 5000 bushel grain bin. We have a 2 foot thick
concrete footing with a 5 inch thick slab for the bin to sit on. |
We
are assembling the bottom two rings of the grain bin before we start on
the roof. |
The
roof is complete. |
We
built some A frame bin jacks and have attached them. We raised the bin
up enough to install the next ring. |
We
reset the bin jacks to raise the bin for the next sheet. On the right we
are holding the bin up to install the base angle on the bottom sheet. |
We
are filling the bin for the first time. |
